Emily carried on the family tradition of becoming a Boilermaker.  She received a degree in Business from Purdue University; and double minored in Communications, and Organizational Leadership & Supervision.  She spent her free time working and hanging out with friends.  At Purdue she shared a townhouse with two great girls who became more like family.  She enjoyed frequent visits from her brother who lived across the street while he attended Purdue as well.  Emily has always been close to her family, so having her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins living 15 minutes outside of campus made being away from home easy for her.

How we met

All I can say is that God must have really wanted us to be together!  Before we both graduated college we applied for the same job along with ten thousand other people.  Sixteen people made it to the final interview process and only four people made the final cut. We both got the job; and if you ask me two out of ten thousand is pretty amazing.

We moved to Dallas, Texas to start our sales training and bonded immediately.  I didn’t want to date anyone from work, but you see how well that worked out!  We dated throughout our six months of training in Texas until we moved to our different sales territories; my territory being in Mississippi and Kyle's in Alabama.  We lived about 4 hours apart so we had to do long distance dating for a little over a year.  It wasn't easy but it made us appreciate each other even more.   We got engaged on October 15, 2011 in Nashville, TN.  I am so blessed to have such a wonderful man in my life and I can't wait to marry him!
